I am An Addict

Hi, my name is April and I’m a gamerholic.
I admit it, I am addicted to games. I think I just figured out the reason I had stopped playing them in the first place….I cannot do life, and games. It is always one or the other – never both. I was recently bullied into playing Aion by a few influential people in my life and ever since I had that first taste; I’ve been hooked. I get between 2-4 hours sleep every night and since I have been on holidays, all social aspects of my life have gone out the window and I’m all GAMES GAMES GAMES. It’s crazy…I even upgraded myself to an i7.
Mum is always telling me I have an addictive nature. I’ve always denied it…what bullshit! As if I, April, have an addictive nature! HA! If I had an addictive nature, why have I gone over a year hanging out with smokers yet never become one myself? Why have I been able to have a couple of hits of pot and but never feel cravings or find it necessary to smoke it often? In fact, I have not touched pot for well over 6 months now. 
But, maybe I’m just addictive in other ways. I mean, computers and me are like two peas in a pod…I can’t go past a Harvey Norman store without having a poke around, I can’t go to the shops without checking out EB Games or Game Traders to see what’s new and I most definitely cannot pass up an opportunity to ask for technological gadgets for my birthday, easter or Christmas.
So yes, ladies and gentleman…I am a computer addict. I don’t know how to control it though, so I just let myself run wild.
What addictions do you have??? And how do you manage them?

I think most of my addictions are only temporary. TV shows, games, book series—I get over all of them after a while or after the series ends, whichever comes first. Good food and the Internet, though… I don’t know how addicted I am or even if we should call it an addiction (denial?)

I have been addicted to Sims 1 lately. And what do I do? Play the game, of course! Haha. I have all of these different personalities. Have you ever head of Desperate Housewives? Well, my little suburb is pretty much like my own Desperate Housewives!
I guess I’m so used to driving in the dark. o.o Not to mention the fact that when you’re going 60 it’s practically no big deal, and no one can really get into the vehicle with you fast enough.
Haha. I guess so. They kept talking about a threesome and had to wash their hands straight away. Gahh. I’m just like OMG the whole time I’m driving. o.o

I’m a gamer, too. In fact, both my husband and I are. This is how bad we are: we have two PS3s, an xbox, a wii, and two DS XLs. D:
We almost always have to buy two copies of every game because we don’t believe in sharing or taking turns lol. Currently I’m a addicted to Modern Warfare 2. First person shooter games are AWESOME! Also, love playing Fallout. Can’t wait for New Vegas to come out in November, woot!
